Price was from family how can I tell

3 piece 1

Looking at a antique 12 foot table, wood and inlay in nice shape. new felt and rails. Somewhere along the way the three pieces of slate were cut in half, making it easier to move. Is this table worth my time ? Will I be able to level the the now 6 pieces of 2 foot wide slate? My plan is to attach a rail under the cuts in the slate and drill screw holes to rejoin the pieces to make it a three piece slate again. Your input and opinion are greatly anticipated ! Thank you !

Doug, this is subject to style and size of pool table you are looking for. Should style not be a factor I would recommend going with a bar/pub style pool table with a one piece slate (assuming 7 or 8 ft pool table) if 9 foot is preferred the slate would then be in 3 pieces. I would contact Scott or Tom at Global Billiard MFG if you are interested in purchasing something commercial in nature. Whatever Global would build you would last at least 40 years. Please contact Global directly at 310-764-5000.Best wishes, David.

I put a shutter inside on the window after my table was installed. Now I keep banging into it when the cue ball is near the rail. It makes me angry and that in turn affects my billiard mojo. How can I safely move it only two inches? It is a three piece Brunswick.

Intraocular lenses (IOLs) are used in ophthalmic surgery to replace the lens of the eye and rectify refractive errors.[1] IOLs are composed of two elements: an optic and haptics. The optic is the central area responsible for refraction, and the haptics are the appendages from the center optic that hold it in place.[2] (Figure 1) In cataract surgery, generally two haptic designs of IOLs are used: single-piece and three-piece. Single-piece IOLs (also referred to as one-piece) are named as such due to both elements being composed of the same material ( acrylic, silicone or PMMA).[3]

There are certain advantages and disadvantages to single-piece IOLs when compared to three-piece IOLs. Many of these may pertain to surgeon preference or situational limitations. Three-piece IOLS are more versatile and can be placed in the capsule or in the ciliary sulcus in the event that the posterior capsule ruptures.[2] Single-piece IOLs should never be placed in the ciliary sulcus.[2][6][13] Several issues may arise with placement of this lens design in the sulcus ranging from UGH (uveitis, glaucoma, hyphema) syndrome, to shifting of the lens over time.[13] In general, the advantages of single-piece IOLs come from its less rigid haptics. The softer, longer haptics unfold in a more evenly distributed manner, causing relatively less trauma to the capsule and more uniform contact holding it in place, and reducing wrinkling.[3] Therefore, single-piece IOLs are considered superior by some surgeons for patients with competent lens capsules and inferior for those at risk of capsule rupture.[2][14] Studies comparing single and three-piece IOLs have shown mixed results in various outcome measures including stability, refractive outcomes, and more.[3][15]

Any quick internet search for valves will show many different results: manual or automated, brass or stainless steel, flanged or NPT, one piece, two piece, or three piece, and more. With so many different types of valves available, how can you be sure you are purchasing the right type? While your application will help guide your proper valve selection, it is important to have some basic understanding of the different types of valves offered.

Two-piece ball valves are some of the most common ball valves used. As the name suggests, the two piece ball valve consists of two pieces, one piece that has one end connection and the body. The second piece fits into the first, holds the trim in place and includes the second end connection. Once installed these valves typically cannot be repaired unless they are removed from service.

Again, as the name suggests, three-piece ball valves consist of three pieces: two end caps and a body. The end caps are typically threaded or welded to the pipe and the main body section may be easily removed for cleaning or repair without removing the end caps. This can be a very valuable option because it prevents a line shutdown if maintenance is required.

Those that do describe it is as a single crank or 3 piece crank. This is probably not as important as it is in spin bikes where you are standing on the pedals and really pushing hard against them and jumping on the pedals too . But can offer a better and stronger platform.

More expensive bikes tend to have 3 piece cranks as these cranks are more expensive to manufacture. Also these bikes do provide you with harder resistance to push against so there can be more force in pushing against the pedals and supported by the crank -an example of a bike with a 3 piece crank is the Schwinn 270. (It cheaper version the Schwinn 230 has one piece crank but the same amount of resistance adjustment). You can put more force on it but again it is unlikely you will be able to generate the force used on a spin bike or outdoor bike.

However, if you want to be challenging yourself against resistance that is extremely tough then it becomes more important to get a more durable and tougher 3 piece crank (they can be easier to replace too if one of arms does break).

A range of 3-piece ball valves designed for ASME B.16.34, General Purpose and specific application requirements combined with seat and seal combinations provide customers with reliability and long service life over a broad pressure range

The options for ball valves are seemingly endless. To select a ball valve, decisions have to be made. Which seat material? What kind of end connections? Full, reduced, or standard port ball? 2-way or multiport? What about packing? Finally, how many pieces?

Ball valves come in one, two, or three pieces. One piece ball valves are inexpensive and generally not repaired. Two piece ball valves consist of two separate pieces, with the connection between them being either threaded or a bolt and flange assembly.

For processes that put heavy demands on valves, having a 3 piece valve is more convenient than one or two piece ball valves. When seats and seals need to be routinely replaced, having three pieces allows for easy disassembly, servicing and reassembly without having to do major cutting on the pipe.

Two piece ball valves were also designed with maintenance in mind. The big difference between the two is that the body on the 3 piece valve can be taken out without disturbing the two end caps. A two-piece ball valve doesn't often allow this to happen, and it's not possible at all with a one piece ball valve.

There's also a price difference. As noted earlier, one piece valves are generally of the throw away variety. Three piece valves tend to initially cost more, but can save money in the long run in terms of time spent maintaining, and ability to change seats and seals vs. replacing the valve in its entirety.

I used both these and the 1st version, new one is much better alot more consistent. Best ball for the price range no doubt in the performance range of the other higher end three piece ball. I would definently say swing speed makes a difference to how you view there performance. I am around 100 to 104 there pretty long for me. My son is up around 120 he loses distance with them spinning to much of the driver. He hated the first version the second he thinks are pretty playable. The biggest thing I notice they putt no where near as soft as a really premium ball. There a great value if you want a ball in this range. They will not replace a premium ball for someone really talented.

While this is true, it is also very important to have durable slate because one piece slate can also become uneven due to warping or sag in the middle over time due to the weight. Natural high or low spots in one piece slate can be very hard to remove no matter how much shimming you do, especially on larger tables.

Weight is a key difference between one piece and two piece tables. One piece slate tables are much heavier, less flexible, and thus very difficult to move. In contrast, three piece tables divide the weight into three smaller sections that are easier to move.

Three piece slate tables start as a single piece of slate that is then cut into three pieces during the milling process. Three piece slate allow for precision leveling which is why many professional players prefer playing on three piece tables. Each piece can be leveled individually to accommodate uneven playing surfaces like carpet or even wood.

The Deluxe 3-piece pole set is designed with premium galvanized steel that measures 1-5/8" in diameter and stands 10' 6" in height. Galvanized steel not only provides exceptional stability, it's superior at withstanding harsh weather. The poles also resist rusting, so you can enjoy the game for years to come.

Methods: 20 patients underwent bilateral cataract surgery with a single piece SA30AL IOL in one eye and a three piece MA30BA IOL in the other eye. The eyes were randomly assigned to either a single or three piece lens. The amount of IOL decentration and tilt, area of anterior capsule opening, and degree of posterior capsule opacification were measured using the Scheimpflug anterior segment analysis system (Nidek EAS-1000). Visual acuity and contrast sensitivity were examined. Measurements were performed by masked examiners before and 1 day, 1 week, 1, 3, 6, and 18 months after surgery. 041b061a72
