Taapsee Pannu underwent rigorous training in mixed martial arts for her role as an undercover agent in the film. The film follows the story of Shabana Khan (Taapsee Pannu), a college student and a Kudo champion, who is recruited by a secret agency after her boyfriend is killed by a gang of criminals. She is trained by Ranvir Singh (Manoj Bajpayee), the head of the agency, and is given a code name 'Meera'. She is assigned to track down and eliminate an international arms dealer, Mikhail (Prithviraj Sukumaran), who is responsible for supplying weapons to the gang that killed her boyfriend.
Shabana travels to various locations such as Goa, Mumbai, Vienna and Kuala Lumpur to gather information and clues about Mikhail's whereabouts. She faces many challenges and dangers along the way, but also receives help from Ajay Singh Rajput (Akshay Kumar) and Shukla Ji (Anupam Kher), who are part of the same agency. She also develops a friendship with Tony (Taher Shabbir), a fellow agent who assists her in her mission.
Shabana eventually manages to locate Mikhail in a hotel in Kuala Lumpur and confronts him in a fierce fight. She manages to overpower him and shoots him dead. She then escapes from the hotel with the help of Ajay and Shukla Ji. She returns to India and is congratulated by Ranvir for completing her mission successfully.
